Probably because it’s much easier to imagine the idea of a good story than it is actually to write one. This comic is hardly unique in demonstrating that; a whole lot of geek-favourite properties, from Doctor Who and Star Wars to The Prisoner, Blade Runner 2048, and Sherlock, are brilliant in our heads because of the way they’re described and sold, but then turn out to be a bit pants on screen or the page.Tako wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 12:20 amOkay, somebody tell me... why are we following Abbey's progression from mere idiocy to sociopathic idiocy and Teddy's endless degradation into a sextoy for the use of the jocks who used to beat the tar out of him when he was a normal nerd, when we could have fun reading about Abby and funny dimension-tripping monster-slaying shenaningans and ocassional futanari sealife sexy escapades...?
Just... why?!
(I mean, generally much better than DC, obviously, but still not as good as the thing we’ve been led to expect.)
