I'm sorry, but this is just not true. As one who was bullied heavily for three years in grade school, and multiple incidents that turned into actual fights (I tended to leave scars on them, and just stood there ignoring the blood pouring out of my nose on top of that), I can tell you for certainty that bullies do not just 'go away to bully others' after you stand up to them. They simply stop the physical bullying and amp up the mental bullying.
